APGB Licencing Guide
This guide provides guidance to APGB Members on the different licenses applicable to this contract to ensure that Users have all of the correct licensing in place for their usage of the Licensed Data.
Licensed Data refers to any of the data supplied to you under the APGB contract including 25cm and 12.5cm Aerial Photography, 2m Digital Surface Model Data and 5m digital Terrain Model Data.
APGB Member License
The APGB Member License must be signed by each Member prior to first accessing the Licensed Data. The APGB Member License sets out the terms under which the data can be accessed and used by Members, including:
Licensed Use: the terms on which the Licensed Data can be used for business use and Public-Sector Tasks
Use of the Licensed Data to create Derived data
The terms on which the data can be shared with other Licensed Users, Contractors and for Innovation projects (see also APGB Standard Form Contractor License and APGB Innovation License sections below)
A description of which Licensed Data is supplied with perpetual rights and which is supplied with a License to Use
Your obligations under the license
Trademarking and copyright statements that must be applied to the Data during use
Your rights and obligations on termination
APGB Public Sector End User License
The APGB Public Sector End User Licence is entered into by all End Users in accordance with the Licensee’s APGB Member Licence with the GB Consortium. It ensures that all End Users agree to the licensing terms set out in the APGB Public Sector End User License and the APGB Member License.
In addition to the terms set out in the APGB Member License, the APGB Public Sector End User License also sets out some additional licensing terms specific to End Users, including:

End User indemnities to the GB Consortium
APGB Inspire End User License
The APGB Inspire End User License sets out the terms under which a Licensed Member or End User may release Open Derived Data under license from the GB Consortium.
APGB Public Sector Innovation License
The APGB Public Sector Innovation License sets out the terms under which a Licensed Member may provide Development Data (i.e. Data created by an APGB User using the Licensed Data) to a developer or third party specifically for the purpose of:
(a) developing, evaluating and testing it as part of a developer’s own products and/or services, and demonstrating those products and/or services to third parties, and/or
(b) using the Development Data (for the purpose of evaluating it) as a business tool for the ordinary internal day to day activities involved in the administration and running of Your business or organisation.
APGB Standard Form Contractor License
The APGB Standard Form Contractor License sets out the terms under which a Licensed Member may sub-license Licensed Data to a contractor to enable the Contractor to provide Works on the Licensee’s behalf.
The License sets out:
Contractor obligations in respect of using the Licensed Data
Contractor obligations on termination
Contractor liabilities to the Licensed Member and the GB Consortium
